Everything I know about cloth diapers I learned from Amanda and anyone new to this needs an "Amanda", someone to show you the ropes and answer early morning phone calls with questions. Not because cloth diapering is hard, but because it's foreign to what most of us know about diapering. Newbies need a someone who has been there to tell us we're doing it right. So, find someone,
before baby comes, to help you get set up. It's one of the most rewarding tasks I've ever done, not to mention economical.
I know nothing about designer diapering, the last thing I need is an expensive hobby! I use want was gifted to me by the Ya-Ya's at my baby shower, pre-folds and velcro covers - I wouldn't use anything else!
Flannel Wipes & Warmer
Cotton Prefolds
Velcro Covers (you'll find no diaper pins here).
Diaper Bin for dirty diapers.
Happy healthy baby, happy healthy earth.
What a cute post! Wow...I would think the cloth diapers are a lot of work. Of course who am I to say anything, I only have cats! LOL.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this. Well when I do have a baby I truly want to do the cloth diaper thing so I am glad I do have you and Amanda if I need..
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I both found cloth diapers to be quite easy!! We had to take Bishep to the ER once and in our haste to get him there forgot to grab his diaper bag. We ended up having to change Bishep at the hospital and use a throw-away diaper and John had no idea how to even put it on...lol.
ReplyDeleteHow do you secure the prefold? Do you use baby pins? I was gifted a box of Bummi's for my little one and I am still trying to figure out how to use them.
