Herb Scones & Butter

For my birthday last year Amanda gave me a Country Tea Party book that I had been coveting for a while. Each month explores a new tea party theme. My thought is to make each of my Freecycle parties a sort of tea party, using a recipe or two from the book. This month I did herb scones and herb butter.

Herb Scones:
2 cups of flour
2 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder
1/4 teaspoon of salt
4 tablespoons of butter
3/4 cup of milk
9 tablespoons of fresh herbs or 3 tablespoons of dried (I used thyme, parsley and chives)

• Mix ingredients, form as desired and bake at 400 degree for about 25 minutes.

Herb Butter: soft butter and herbs mashed together. I also added a spoonful of sour cream (it seemed like the thing to do) and it turned out really good.
