That brings me to my thank you giveaway. Years ago a dear co-worker bestowed upon me a life changing book called "Simple Abundance, a Day Book of Comfort and Joy" by Sarah Ban Breathnach, it's brought me as much happiness and personal insight as any book could ever do and helps me counteract that "not worthy" mentality. It's a collection of daily essays; which I read when the mood strikes me and I always find perspective. (click here to read my previous blog entries about this book). Most of my Ya-Ya's have a copy they enjoy and I'd like to share a copy with you, along with a few other items of Simple Abundance.
Simple Abundance Giveaway:
A brand new copy of "Simple Abundance, a Day Book of Comfort and Joy" by Sarah Ban Breathnach, a brand new copy of Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy Book, wood element candle with coin, one of my homemade sage smudges, Banded Amethyst (excellent for all types of introspective work), a homemade set of stone prayer beads made by yours truly, a box of perfumed stationary, and whatever else I decide to throw in there over the next few weeks.
To Enter the Giveaway:
• Anyone who is a follower of this blog can enter by commenting below! You must be a follower to enter (see sidebar).
• Receive 1 extra entry per post that you make about this giveaway on your blog. Please include a link to your post in your comment entry below. Feel free to borrow the above image using this code:
• Receive 1 extra entry if you are a Domestic Witch Facebook fan (see sidebar). I know it's called "like" now, but I'm not used to that yet. • Be on the look out for extra entry opportunities in my upcoming blog posts!
- Please make each entry a separate comment or they will only be counted as one.
- I must be able to contact you through your blog or e-mail in order for you to win.
- All countries are welcome to enter! I am willing to ship this out of the U.S.

ReplyDeleteWe use cloth napkins rather than paper.
ReplyDeleteAnd old rags for cleaning rather than paper towels.
ReplyDeleteWe use real plates, cups, silverware rather than paper and plastic.
ReplyDeleteWe use real plates, cups and silverware.
ReplyDeleteWe also use rags, sponges and mop to clean.
ReplyDeleteI use rags/towels instead of paper towels
ReplyDeleteI also use a Diva cup instead of tampons
ReplyDeleteAaannnd I use canvas shopping bags
ReplyDeleteI don't any paper plates or cups to use in our house. I don't believe in having them around. It is just as easy to wash the real dishes.
ReplyDeleteMore chances to win? Yay! We use cloth napkins.
ReplyDeleteNo paper plates or cups. We use real dishes.
ReplyDelete(I hope it read it right that you want these separate!) I use dishcloths that I crocheted to wash dishes, clean up spills, etc.
ReplyDeleteHubby does the grocery shopping but I do have a cotton backpack that I use when I walk to the local co-op and they recycle the receipts, too. :)
ReplyDeleteWe use real dishes, and I reuse Snapple bottles as cups. (Snapple is my one addiction.)
ReplyDeleteWe use reusable sponges and reusable swiffer pads.
ReplyDeleteWe use reusable bags, we shop at the bulk store so if we don't, we go without.
ReplyDeleteI use a moon cup instead of disposable menstrual products.
ReplyDeleteI use reusable shopping bags when I go out and if I run to the store for just one or two small things and don't have a bag with me, I don't take a plastic one. I just carry my stuff.
ReplyDeleteI *hate* paper cups and plates. We eat off of real dinner ware, use glasses and silverware when we eat.
ReplyDeleteI use sponges and old t-shirts torn into rags to clean and not paper towels.
ReplyDeleteI use my real silverware in my resuable lunchbag every day at work and wash them when I get home. Saves on disposable plastic ware that way.
ReplyDeleteWhen my husband is ready to toss his plain white undershirst, I store them in a box in the linen closet for cleaning around the house. They are perfect for dusting, scrubbing stains out of carpets (with club soda they come right out), and now that we are moving, they are being used to wrap the china!
ReplyDeleteMy toilet paper tubes (recycled paper of course!), paper towel tubes (not that many, I hardly use paper towels), seltzer bottles, and caps all go into the kindergarten as donated items for their "invention station." :)
ReplyDeleteWhenever possible, we try and buy second hand, antique furniture for the home to save on mass production waste.
ReplyDeleteI buy recycled rubber toothbrushes and recycle them when done!
ReplyDeleteWe use regular plates and cups instead of disposable or we buy compostable "plastic" utensils/plates (made from either corn or sugar cane). We also bring our own reusable shopping bags to the food store and to the clothing stores.
ReplyDeleteI use canvas bags when grocery shopping.
ReplyDeleteI am the proud owner of Hag Rags and Lunapads.
ReplyDeleteI also use HagRags reuseable cloth circlets instead of cotton balls.
ReplyDeleteI have not purchased paper towels in over a year. We use cloth napkins at our dining room table.
ReplyDeleteI pretend I am Cinderella by hand washing our floor with towels and a handbrush oppossed to using products like a swifter.
ReplyDeleteEach member in my family uses a reuseable bottle for water...no bottles of water being purchased from the grocery store here.
ReplyDeleteI use sponges and towels instead of paper towels, etc.
ReplyDeleteI use a handkerchief instead of kleenex
ReplyDeleteI use a DivaCup instead of tampons/pads
ReplyDeleteI use cloth napkins
ReplyDeleteI use actual dishes/glasses/silverware instead of the disposable variety
ReplyDeleteI am in the process of making my own reusable grocery bags using plarn--plastic yarn made from the grocery bags you get from the store! Each reusable bag takes about 40-50 store bags...how's that for Reduce, Reuse, Recycle?? ^_^
ReplyDeleteI also filter my tapwater and use a Sigg aluminum water bottle.
