  5. I consider myself lucky to live in a place that still has fireflies.....they light up my yard and the whole neighborhood. I live in the house that I spent most of my childhood.....catching fireflies was something I loved to do then and now I watch my daughter catch. The one thing that we used to have that we don't have anymore is frogs/toads.....I miss them....and wish I could get them back.

  9. I miss fireflies so very much. Where I use to live there were so many each summer night. Just last summer there were still quite a few, but many, many less then when I was a little girl growing up out there.

    Where I live now, there are absolutely none. It's a bit of a suburb, but still, there are some fields not too horribly far away, but there are none that I can find.
