About Dawn

Hi it's me, Dawn! The blogger formerly know as Domestic Witch. So here I am, still domestic and still witchy.  I'm very happy to have you here and would love to tell you a little bit about me and my family.

Ed and I have been happily married since 2002. Both born and raised in the Detroit area by hard working, middle-class, never-cross-a-picket-line union families, either directly or indirectly working for the auto industry. We love the SyFy channel, adopting animals, fall festivals, bike riding and a good meatloaf.

Ed is in construction and I am a full-time mommy, artist and treasure hunter. You might find me with a paint brush, writing an essay, crocheting, upcycling a skirt into a purse, sewing a pillow, baking cookies or drying herbs from my garden. I sell antiques & collectibles on Sightly and I am founder and director of Pagan Center; a bewitching organization of men and women who help improve our community through with social activities, educational workshops, youth programs, charity drives and volunteer work.

This is Angelus, our pride and joy. He is a regular feature on this blog, pure of heart and full of spirit! Angelus is 5 years old. The toad, named by Angelus, is Toothbrush.

The Ya-Ya's are my best friends from Pagan Center! My Ya-Ya's and I have our own lingering gumbo of tequila and lemons and salt. Black cotton and cigarettes. Coconut and lime, late night phone calls. Strawberry Boonesfarm. Lavender, Ginger, Rosemary. Kelly's incense and Luna's Coffee. Nursing baby's, diapers and Arnica. Bonfire smoke and chocolate. Kombucha tea, glitter and laughter. We are rock n' roll, we are wicked, we are mothers, nurtures and healers. We are Ya-Ya's!
